Longitudinal Aging Study

Purpose

This purpose of this project is to characterize the processes involved in memory loss associated with aging and with dementia. We examine how medical functioning, demographics, neuropsychological skills, and mood impact everyday functioning and predict who is at risk for future cognitive impairment. Understanding the interactions among these complex factors will help to enhance the diagnosis and treatment of cognitive disorders. Participants receive feedback on their current cognitive functioning. For more information, please contact the Longitudinal Aging Study staff at (310) 794-2804.
