When frontotemporal dementia leads to crime-Prosecution or Protection?

Mendez, Professor of Neurology and Director of the Behavioral Neurology Program, was quoted in the Jan. 13 newsletter about people with frontotemporal dementia (FTD) who may commit crimes. A brain disorder, FTD affects regions of the brain that rein in impulsivity and support inhibition and empathy.
