UCLA-Easton Center
Between the years 2010-2015, the UCLA Alzheimer's Disease Research Center (ADRC) was one of the major medical institutions in the United States funded by the National Institute of Aging (NIA). The focus of the ADRC was to understand the mechanisms and optimize the treatment of Alzheimer's disease. The Center is comprised of six cores: Administrative, Clinical, Data Management and Statistics, Neuropathology, Recruitment and Education, and Neuroimaging and Biomarkers. Additionally, the Center funds two pilot projects yearly, and funds three basic science projects. The Center had two sites, the UCLA Medical Center in West Los Angeles, and Olive View Medical Center in the San Fernando Valley. The projects supported by ADRC continue within the UCLA-Easton Center.
