Biography
Mary Catherine (Katie) Mayo, MD, is from the San Francisco Bay Area originally, went to college at Cornell University, and medical school at University of Southern California. She trained at UCLA for Neurology residency and fellowships in Movement Disorders and Behavioral Neurology, focusing on the overlap between movement disorders and dementia. Some particular diagnoses of interest include dementia with Lewy bodies and atypical Parkinsonian conditions, Alzheimer’s disease, and Vascular dementia. She has also been previously involved with Dementia Caregiver Support groups in the community.
