Our goal is to incorporate genomics, electronic health records, and biomedical informatics to realize precision medicine for neurodegenerative diseases.

The laboratory is focused on the discovery and development of drug candidates for neurodegenerative diseases primarily for Alzheimer’s disease.

The “Equity for Latinx/Hispanic Healthy Aging” (ELHA) Lab focuses on the prevention, early detection/diagnosis, and management of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias in Latine/Hispanic communities.

The Hinman Lab focuses on the interface of stroke, cerebrovascular disease, and dementia.

Peng Lab focuses on the molecular and cellular mechanisms of alpha-synuclein and tau related neurodegenerative diseases including but not limited to Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease and multiple system atrophy.

The Rexach Lab uses systems biology and functional genomics approaches to understand neurodegenerative dementias, such as Alzheimer's disease, frontotemporal dementia, and progressive supranuclear palsy.

The Vossel Laboratory studies mechanisms and novel treatments for epileptic activity and associated memory loss in Alzheimer’s disease.
