Neuroimaging, Biomarkers and Genetics Core
The UCLA Alzheimer's Disease Research Center (ADRC) - The Biomarker Core (BC) supports the mission of the ADRC by facilitating efforts to advance the understanding of biomarker changes in Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and other neurodegenerative disorders to help guide and optimize therapeutic development. The BC has a dual emphasis on imaging and fluid biomarkers. Biomarker Core a) collects high-quality standardized longitudinal structural and functional imaging and fluid biomarker data, b) supports a diverse and readily accessible biomarker repository for facilitating research studies within and outside of UCLA, and c) provides training and technical expertise in the area of biomarkers to trainees, as well as established investigators interested in incorporating new methodologies into their research programs.
